Over the past four years, Synchrony has been proud to partner with Girls Who Code, engaging multiple locations around the country in the development and mentorship of over 120 program participants to date. As we enter this summer, volunteers in our Alpharetta, GA; Chicago, IL; and Stamford, CT locations will host sixty girls for the Summer Immersion Program, and our Kettering, OH, location will continue to support the growing number of Clubs in the Dayton community.

Our EVP & Chief Information Officer, Carol Juel, shares “I am thrilled about our continued support for Girls Who Code. Closing the gender gap in Technology is a solvable problem and I love that Synchrony is part of the solution!” Synchrony’s SIPs this summer will include a host of speakers from around our business, immersing our participants into our culture and sharing various career journeys within Tech. Our program leaders have also done a great job partnering with companies like Accenture, Coca-Cola, Honeywell, Octagon, Pivotal Labs, Truk Optik, and West Monroe for their field trips, exposing our participants to the wide range of opportunity that lies ahead.

With passionate support across our Executive and Senior Leadership Team, Technology organization, and our many volunteers that go above and beyond to support our partnership each year, we are honored to continue our partnership with Girls Who Code to help inspire, educate and equip girls with the computing skills needed to pursue 21st century opportunities, while creating a supportive community to help them persist and succeed.
