What the Veterans Network+ does at Synchrony
Our Veterans Network+ (VN+) has a presence at each one of our hubs and is dedicated to supporting your growth through professional and personal development, career management, mentoring, and networking. The VN+ helps to identify opportunities for veterans to contribute their unique skills to Synchrony’s business.
FLEXIBLE WORK OPTIONS
We’re empowering our people by providing more workplace flexibility. When you join us, you’ll have the choice—to work from home, one of our locations, or both. To help accommodate our employees who are military family members or reservists called for active duty, we also offer options for flexible hours/schedules and location transfers that we can explore with you (policies vary based on role).
BENEFITS
We offer a benefits program carefully designed to meet the unique needs of you and your family, including resources to support your health and total wellness throughout Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and well-being coaches. PARTNERSHIPS
We seek out organizations and platforms to help us share job opportunities with veterans, disabled veterans and military spouses like: the DAV and American Legion, VFW, Wounded Warrior Project, Hiring Our Heroes Program, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), Service Academy Career Conferences (SACC), Solider & Marine for Life Programs, as well as other local, state & federal programs. We’ve also partnered with Fisher House & Home for the Brave Training Program to sponsor educational scholarships for service members and their families.
EVENTS
The VN+ organizes veterans events, both locally and nationally, including career advice and development, benefits, networking, and volunteerism to give back to our communities and support veterans – on Veterans Day and throughout the year.
TRAINING
In recruiting veterans, our recruiters and hiring managers have specific training to match military-gained skills with our business needs and career opportunities.
MENTORS
Veterans who choose to join Synchrony are paired with a battle buddy – a veteran mentor for your transition into Synchrony. Our call centers also bring on veterans together as a class to complete their initial training together.
