3 Ways Synchrony Supports Working Parents
Caring for caregivers
We’re honored to be selected by Great Place To Work® as number 10 on the 2023 Best Workplaces for Parents™ list. Listening to our employees is a core part of our culture, and we are always looking for ways to improve our inclusive and supportive employee experience. With their help, we’ve created an award-winning workplace that holistically cares for caretakers. Here are some highlights of the ways we support working parents.
Fertility Benefits
When Beth Woods AVP, Commercial Operations Manager, heard that Synchrony’s fertility grant had increased to $30,000, she was overjoyed. She and her wife had been struggling to conceive for a long time and the expanded benefit would allow them to use in vitro fertilization (IVF), a more effective treatment. It worked and the couple’s son is now nearly three!
Workplace Flexibility
Shalini Devi, AVP Collections Contact Strategy, and Jude Cooks, VP Operations & Credit Servicing, know the value of flexibility and manager support. Having the ability to work from home and adjust your schedule helps parents balance the needs of work and home.
Backup Childcare
If illness, weather or provider cancellations cause the need for last minute childcare, Synchrony employees can take advantage of up to 60 days per year of Backup Care. At a moment’s notice, working parents like Asia Smith, Learning Delivery Facilitator, can connect with licensed in-home care providers to cover their needs.
