Our Women’s Network+ is empowering women
Sharing our Stories. Amplifying our Voices.
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, Synchrony’s Women’s Network+ (WN+) is elevating the stories of women across our organization with this year’s theme What’s Your Story. Engagement within our WN+ provides a forum for women to share their own stories, exchange their knowledge and experiences, and creates valuable, lasting relationships.
Our Women’s Network+ allows women and allies from the United States, the Philippines and India to network beyond their day-to-day team interactions. Sheila Marie Y. Serafica, VP, Collections Operations – Cebu City, Philippines, says that “The WN+ has given me the opportunity to be involved and engaged with inspirational women to see a clearer picture of how they lead and work.”
Beyond Synchrony, members of our WN+ are actively involved in our communities through charitable organizations like the Jeannette Rankin Foundation, which offers education access for underserved women. We also partner with Girls Who Code, providing technology education and programming for young women; and Moms First, which promotes the equitable treatment of working moms. “It feels good to be a part of something bigger than yourself,” says Kris Jackson, VP, Inside Sales – Arizona, United States.
The Women’s Network+ is also helping women accelerate their careers through mentoring and career development programming. “As a member of the WN+, I’ve held leadership roles within the network that challenged me, honed my skills and helped advance my career,” says Elizabeth Gebbia, VP, Supervisory Affairs – Connecticut, United States. Our WN+ regularly hosts learning events and workshops like the “Advocating for You” series that help members craft their personal brand, find the next step in their career, prepare for new roles and celebrate their wins.
