Our Give10 Campaign
Extending Your Impact
At Synchrony, we believe in empowering our employees to make a real difference—both in their careers and in the communities where we live and work. As we celebrated our 10-year anniversary alongside our 20,500 employees, it only felt right to expand this celebration and find unique ways to give back to our communities. We introduced Give10, an initiative rooted in employee input, where employees were asked to nominate causes they’re passionate about. The overwhelming response from our teams truly speaks to how Synchrony’s core values are upheld every day.
Through Give10, 100 employees’ charities of choice were awarded $10,000 grants to further their mission. We’re honored to highlight just a few of the charities chosen, and the deeply personal stories on how the passionate people who drive Synchrony’s success are extending their impact and championing causes that make a difference.
Our investment in our communities across the globe comes in many forms. We’re so proud of the ways our employees give their skills, time, and dollars to support causes they care most about, and we’re honored to extend their impact. “Nobody expects their company to give them 10,000 dollars to go out and improve the world.” Says Jonathan, “Investing in the character of their employees is investing in the actions of goodwill that will follow.”

The Seeing Eye
Ashley is supporting The Seeing Eye, an organization that seeks to improve dignity and quality of life for the blind and visually impaired by providing specially trained guide dogs. Ashley's own confidence and independence skyrocketed after receiving her first guide dog, Emmit, in 2015. After that, they were inseparable—Emmit even accompanied her to her wedding! “There were so many opportunities opened for me that I never had the confidence to do before,” she said, “I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.”

AVP, Fraud Investigations
Lasagna Love
Brittany’s love language is cooking. That’s what inspired her nomination of Lasagna Love, whose mission is to spread kindness in local communities by connecting neighbors with one another through homemade meal delivery to families in need. More than 56,000 volunteers have made meals for people in their communities, extending their impact as 98% of recipients plan on “paying it forward” through goods, time or money. Lasagna Love was the perfect fit for Brittany’s Give10 grant nomination, and we’re thrilled to help her make an impact in her community.
Jonathan G.
AVP, Cyber Intelligence Analyst
Rural Tech Fund
Jonathan nominated the Rural Technology Fund (RTF), which provides technology resources, scholarships and education to rural communities. He became interested in technology after joining Young Astronauts, where he learned about robotics and coding and his early exposure allowed him to leave high school with several certifications, experiences and mentors. “I believe everybody should have access to technology, regardless of zip code,” Jonathan says, “a donation to rural tech is an investment in a brighter, more connected future.” Technology drives many of the innovative ideas that allow us to bring worth to our employees, customers and partners, which is why we’re excited to extend Jonathan’s impact and help bridge the digital divide for rural communities.

Specialist, Workforce Planning
HERO Foundation
A few employees, including Judy, were moved by the work of the HERO Foundation, which provides educational assistance to children or siblings of fallen Filipino soldiers. After learning about the organization through our Veterans Network+, Judy became passionate about honoring these soldiers’ sacrifice by providing the support their families need to secure a better future. We’re proud to help augment Judy’s impact—her Give10 grant will provide a college education for three orphans, fostering socio-economic development while recognizing their parents’ service. “This grant will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the lives it touches," She says, “I am immensely proud to be a part of that transformative journey.”

Deshpande Foundation
This year, Tejaswi attended the Deshpande Foundation’s “Development Dialogue” conference, where he saw the impact of their mission to improve rural Indians’ economic independence in the areas of agriculture, entrepreneurship and skilling. He met farmers and students and experienced firsthand how their lives are being improved through the organization’s personal development, agricultural innovation and business training. Tejaswi’s Give10 grant will extend his impact and create sustainable economic prosperity for rural Indians, adding to the more than 70,000 farmers, 4,900 entrepreneurs and 14,000 students the foundation has already helped.
