Synchrony’s Skills Forward program reimburses employees up to $9,000 per year to pursue skill-based certifications and through this program, I was able to become a certified Agile Scrum Master.  I have already seen how the knowledge I’ve gained has helped me in my career because I’ve learned how to be adaptable and effectively work on challenging projects with my team and cross functionally.

Being part of the Human Resources team, it’s not typical to think of agile principles; but I’ve been able to see first-hand how this skill and methodology has helped me think differently and can greatly impact business objectives.  My proudest accomplishment at Synchrony is working on the continued enhancement of our New Way of Working Strategy. I’m inspired by being part of something larger that shapes the future of work; and creates a lasting impact for our current and future employees, that continues to be anchored in flexibility. Being a part of these conversations, hearing our leaders put our employees first, and working agilely to help make these changes—it’s been amazing to use what I’ve learned to help make a positive impact on all our people!
