Organizational Overview:

Recovery team decisions actions across the lifecycle of a customer post charge off. we work towards maximizing financial return on SYF losses through powerful and proprietary insights on customers, centered on their willingness and ability to pay.

 The actionable insights are driven by access to numerous data sources,

new age technologies and focused strategies. Spread across all pillars in Recovery, the recovery analytics team in India caters to data management, strategic initiatives, decision making and insightful reporting, managing within the guardrails of our regulatory requirements.

Role Summary/Purpose:

Senior Analyst, Recovery Analytics is an IC role, will work on major business initiatives that contribute to Synchrony Recovery objectives. This role enables you to work directly with the business in catering to the end-to-end analytical needs. The analyst will support process analysis, control, and optimization across all Recovery functions using tools  like  SAS, SQL, Tableau, Power Automate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:            

  • Develop and support analytic solutions for all Recovery functions (Debt Sales, Agency, Attorney, Recovery Systems, Inhouse Recovery unit, DSC).

  • Drive visual and content enhancements to reporting for Recovery business.Communicate reporting trends to process leads and senior leadership.

  • Proactively communicate and engage across multiple levels, on the status of project progress and analytic priorities.

  • Ensure strict process adherence for all reporting/ analytics deliverables. Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience between performing analytics, or in lieu of a degree, 4 years of like experience in analytics.

  • Minimum 2+ years of SAS/SQL, Python/R and building BI reports

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with Tableau to build data visualizations.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).

DESIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Good understanding of bank card, private-label, or financial services business.

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Collections/Recovery environment.

  •  Working knowledge of data warehouse environment.

  •  2+ year’s demonstrated success developing and implementing reporting solutions.

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience between performing analytics, or in lieu of a degree, 4 years of like experience in analytics.

Work Timings:

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
