Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for a customer and partner obsessed lifecycle marketing manager that is focused on delivering best in class products and experiences. As a critical member of the Product organization, the Emerging Products Lifecycle Marketing and Member Communications manager is responsible for owning and developing the wholistic lifecycle customer communication and marketing strategy for Emerging Products. This includes supporting customer enrollment efforts, new and early month on book fulfillment materials and all communications and touchpoints through program cancellation. This marketing manager is comfortable working in a highly regulated environment, develops creative solutions, has a keen attention to detail, is a team player that collaborates well cross functionally and acts as an owner, proactively taking initiative.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and execute wholistic customer communication strategy to include:
    • Welcome / Fulfillment kit
    • Early month on book communication and marketing
    • Annual enrollment reminders
    • SMS Messaging
    • Other reminder/engagement opportunities
  • Craft and implement marketing strategies to support acquisition efforts
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with Client Marketing Teams as well as teams supporting the execution of campaigns
  • Monitor and report on key metrics of program and campaign performance to assess the success and determine necessary enhancements.
  • Continuous modernization of communication plan with latest technology & messaging platforms
  • Supports the increased and on-going regular member communications.
  • Responsible for understanding industry insights, consumer intel and market analysis, and benchmarking Synchrony’s products against competition – coordinating and communicating findings across clients and platforms.
  • Proactively engage with Compliance and Legal to ensure adherence with all external and internal compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 8 years of acquisition and/or lifecycle marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries
  • Minimum of 4 years marketing or product marketing expertise that includes:
    • A proven track record of launching new products or applications with demonstrated business impact.
    • Ability to influence and coordinate multi-functional teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Credit card, consumer finance or financial services industry experience.
  • Experience within revolving credit card industry and add-on product marketplace and understanding of latest customer experiences, features, enhancements, news, and trends in the space.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives and projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
  • Strong background working with clients, reporting on performance, and delivering results.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Advanced critical thinking skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions in a fast-changing environment.
  • Current on financial services, payments industry trends, competitors, emerging technologies, and companies
  • Product marketing and communications expertise

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                               

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
