Organizational Overview:
Our Analytics organization comprises of data analysts who focus on enabling strategies to enhance customer and partner experience and optimize business performance through data management and development of full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics solutions using cutting edge technologies thereby enabling business growth.
Role Summary/Purpose:
AVP, Analytics – Belk (People Manager) role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH). Our Analytics team comprises of data analysts who focus on improving customer/product/digital/ journey experience etc. and growth by providing full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics via cutting edge technologies to support business objectives.
The role will deliver on business and organizational priorities, working in close collaboration with US Analytics and IAH teams, solving problems with solutions that are powered by data and analytics. The role includes providing strategic thought leadership in optimizing and scaling up current deliveries and building analytics roadmap. The position is remote, where you have the option to work from home.
Essential Responsibilities:

Effective project & team management with pro-active communication to stakeholders.

Act as business consultant, offer analytical and strategic thinking, understand business needs and requirements, be able to translate needs and requirements into data, KPIs, dashboards and insights to measure business performance, and make recommendation to senior leadership team

Represent the team in multiple forums with strategic projects and build brand for the team both locally & across locations

Proactively discover, lead, and solve business problems through basic to advanced analytics/data science tools and techniques, as applicable

Influence decision making through data backed analyses and actionable insights

Responsible and committed to the last mile execution of projects.

Lead the Projects by making sure Adherence to timely delivery, accuracy and documentation in line with Audit Procedures

Lead strategic initiatives and analytic solutions building from planning to execution

Build strong relationships with US and IAH teams to communicate the value proposition of the team to drive engagements and business impact

Foster a culture of innovation & learning within people with high emphasis on sustainable practices

Deliver on people management responsibilities including team planning, hiring, performance evaluation and career guidance
Qualifications/Requirements:
-
BS or MS in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field with 4+ years of hands-on Analytics experience (Distance learning not valid) or in lieu of a degree with 6+ years of experience required.

6+ years of hands-on Experience in SQL /SAS Tools with ability to leverage advanced algorithms and be efficient in handling complex/large data

4+ years of experience in project management with ability to define & refine best-in-class delivery model for teams, devise alternative approaches in an agile manner

1+ years of experience in managing teams with ability to motivate team, drive change, create a culture of learning, innovation and recognition

Ability to solve complex technical and people-oriented problems with minimal supervision

Work Timings: 2 Pm to 11 Pm IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
