Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong analytics skills and Digital data knowledge to join our Enterprise Digital Analytics COE team as an AVP, Digital Measurement & Analytics. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of email and SMS alerts sent to customers throughout the customer life cycle. The ideal candidate will be gathering business requirements around key metrics, working with data engineers to help validate the data ingested and measure the results to determine impacts- such as monetizing feature effectiveness. Must be comfortable combining multiple data sources for exploration of Op-ex savings, sales lift, VOC, or increased digital engagement.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performing ROI analysis to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of different account servicing messaging

  • Analyzing the effect of different online and offline channels on each other and developing and implementing innovative strategies for improvement and growth

  • Analyzing user behavior, conversion data and customer journeys, funnel analysis

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance servicing communications aimed to provide customers with right information at right time to manage their accounts seamlessly

  • Regularly communicate and present to Stakeholders on project status and KPIs

  • Partner with reporting/BI teams to maintain dashboards with key metrics

  • Facilitate team meetings, coordinate with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, maintain process documentation

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned, deliver on Ad-hoc & strategic projects, adhering to SLA on timeliness, accuracy & compliance

  • Effectively prioritize multiple projects and workstreams

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 7+ years of data analytics experience

  • A minimum of 3+ years progressive work experience, including:

    • 2+ years of experience using SAS or SQL and working knowledge of Data warehouse reporting

    • 1+ year of experience using data to provide insights

Desired Characteristics:

  • Self-driven, desire to be curious and explore data in depth to find benefits and monetize feature releases

  • Passion for data exploration- strong in-depth knowledge with SAS, SQL, optionally- R, Python, Hue, Hive; with a deep understanding of querying data warehouse and combining multiple data sources, creating summary tables of large data sets

  • Work experience using Tableau

  • Experience working with email systems such as Zeta Global, Oracle Responsys, or similar

  • Experience with Agile project management (SAFe framework preferred), Jira/Confluence

  • Experience gathering business requirements with attention to detail and developing measurement plans with stakeholders

  • Ability to QA test to determine if the desired metrics are captured as expected

  • Prior experience in using online behavioral data and analytics to drive growth in digital messaging channels

  • Hands-on experience in analytical techniques such as A/B testing and advanced segmentation

  • Experience working with API data payloads, Kafka topics, UTM site codes, Adobe or Google Analytics

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to influence across cross-functional teams, ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders and leadership

  • Experience working with virtual teams and offshore resources

Grade/Level: 10

                                                      

The salary range for this position is 95,00.00 – 160,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
