Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The  AVP, Loyalty & Engagement Marketing – Health & Wellness position will be responsible for driving all aspects of the Loyalty Rewards Program for the CareCredit Rewards Mastercard portfolio within Synchrony’s Health & Wellness platform. This role will be responsible for implementing consumer marketing strategies, programs and communications of varying levels of complexity supporting Rewards engagement and sales goals. This individual will also act as the single point-of-contact for the CareCredit Rewards team on research initiatives. This role will also partner with marketing team members to implement marketing updates in on-going lifecycle campaigns and loyalty initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Proactively lead development, management and reporting of the Rewards program which includes partnering with the internal COE and acting as primary liaison with the Rewards vendor. 

  • Own the strategy development and execution of cardholder marketing programs driving loyalty program engagement and card usage leveraging consumer data as well as voice-of-the-customer data gained through consumer behavior, market and first-party research.

  • Partner with team member(s) to ensure consistent messaging for value proposition, Rewards program enhancements and ad-hoc card issuer benefits.

  • Understand and incorporate VOC to continually improve overall program and add value to drive customer loyalty.

  • Own and monitor competitive landscape for loyalty industry trends. Monitor customer experience metrics and ensure program profitability and penetration through continue enhancements.

  • Proactively manage relationships with creative agencies, outside vendors and internal matrix teams.

  • Work closely with analytics team to measure program, develop KPI reporting; apply learnings for improvements on future initiatives. 

  • Drive research agenda to better understand our cardholders and identify opportunities to enhance program, including monitoring of industry trends and competitive landscape.

  • Share responsibility for achieving key portfolio performance metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with all internal & external regulations.

  • Development and management of budget and forecasting in partnership with Finance.

  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree OR in lieu of degree, a high school diploma and 8 years of experience in Marketing and/or Project Management

A minimum of 5 years marketing experience in one or more of these areas (can be concurrent):

  • Experience in multi-channel marketing strategy development and execution including direct mail, email, digital media, mobile app, and website execution.

  • Experience in managing loyalty programs.

  • Experience in CRM, acquisition and lifecycle marketing.

  • Experience leveraging analytic and creative marketing skills to drive volume for consumer-facing programs/products.

  • Experience in B2C dual card, co-brand marketing, credit card marketing experience, healthcare financing, or retail marketing programs/products.

  • Ability to travel as needed ~10%.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA).

  • Marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industry – familiarity with value proposition and/or new product development processes.

  • Direct marketing experience with both acquisition and lifecycle/loyalty channels.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement marketing plans to drive business results.

  • Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing complex projects in fast paced environment.

  • Proficiency with collaboration tools including Workfront.

  • Advertising agency experience a plus.

Grade/Level: 11

                                                                                      

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                                 

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
