Job Description:
What you’ll accomplish as a Manager, Human Resources:
You will assist the HR Leader in providing guidance to line managers dealing with disciplinary, grievance and capability cases to promote fairness and compliance with legislation and policy. Regularly track absences and retention statistics and support line managers in managing trends and specific cases. Adding value through analysis of results of Employee Satisfaction Survey with line managers, facilitation of colleague focus groups and driving delivery of actions.
What You’ll Do:
Act as Owners:
Manage/coordinate Human Resources within the company including employee relations, conflict resolution and policy adherence.
Relate and Inspire:
Develop policies based on long and short-term strategies for HR needs within the portfolio; Partner with senior managers of portfolio to drive business vision and proactive employer of choice initiatives to drive motivation, diversity, retention, positive work environment, etc.
Elevate Every Day:
Partner with functional HRMs & key HR process owners to implement proactive employee relations strategies, roll out HR initiatives, & provide local HR support & assistance within given portfolio.
Maintain HR compliance in accordance with SYF values, policies & procedures at all times.

Act as a partner with operational clients to provide generalist support while leveraging HR strategy and initiatives for maximum business impact for site/s and the company overall.

Attends meetings of managers, supervisors, and work units to facilitate effective interpersonal communication among participants and to ascertain human relations and work related problems that adversely affect employee morale and establishment productivity.

May develop technical job-related skills training to improve individual work performance either in conjunction with the Training & Development function. Give presentations for company-wide HR communications to employees as needed.

Conduct regular audits for Leaves, CAP, EDB accuracy, Headcount etc. and also monitor VIC penetration, Rewards and Recognitions penetration, Unscheds per FLM, LOP, Absconding, HRAC defects, File closures, Attritions etc. with a focus on increasing cost efficiency.
Skills you’ll need to succeed:

Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent

At least 3 years as a supervisor or manager in current role.

If currently a Synchrony employee:
-
You must be a level 8 or 9 People Manager with at least 12 months tenure in current position

You must have passed all your metrics for the last 6 months
-
You should not be on any corrective action plan (formal/final formal)
Skills you have that will delight us:
-
At least 5 years experience or exposure in Employee/Labor Relations.

Knowledge of positive employee experience and HR practices including compensation, benefits, employee relations and communications, staffing and policy development.

Excellent negotiation, influencing, counseling, facilitation communication, conflict resolution & presentation skills. Strong business acumen & demonstrated ability to execute on complex business initiatives.

Demonstrated leadership & ability to motivate & energize teams. Strong results orientation & track record of success

Demonstrated ability to develop & execute Employer of Choice Strategies. Strong project management skills & effective delivery on shifting/ simultaneous priorities. Proven track record in developing & executing comprehensive HR strategic plans.

Strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

WORKDAY human resource information systems experience desired.
