Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Regulatory Reporting will prepare certain Fed & OCC reporting in accordance with US GAAP and instructions including but not limited to schedules within FR2900, FRY-9C, FFIEC031, FRY-9LP, FRY-11, FFIEC009, FR Y-14Q & FR Y-15, reporting directly to VP, Regulatory Reporting Leader. This position will analyze reporting requirements, data availability, coordinate with Risk and Finance functions to obtain required data to prepare submissions. You will maintain appropriate job-aids, procedures and policies, as required.  In this role you will guide efforts to respond to audit requests from scheduled reviews.  In addition, you will participate in projects including system implementation, simplification and process improvements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Produce daily/weekly/quarterly/annual regulatory reporting schedules, as required

  • Perform detailed analysis of the data within the filings and trend comparisons

  • Provide interpretive guidance on financial regulatory matters to business units within the firm

  • Maintain/enhance control environment including job aids, policies and procedures

  • Ensure high data quality, integrity and accuracy of reports

  • Develop and/or update training materials

  • Respond to Internal audit and regulator inquiries and requests

  • Assist in Systems implementation and automation efforts 

  • Ensure consistency across Regulatory and SEC reporting 

  • Participate in process improvement projects and initiatives

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned from time to time

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum five years accounting experience in Banking or Financial Services industry or in lieu of degree, minimum 10 years accounting experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry

  • Proficient use of financial systems (HFM, Hyperion databases & Oracle Financials Data Warehouse (OFDW)) and Microsoft Office (Excel)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 2+ years Regulatory Reporting experience

  • Strong US GAAP and Technical Accounting knowledge

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, and systems and other analytical tools including Hyperion database, Oracle discoverer and Business Objects

  • Experience with Axiom ControllerView

  • Strong research, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills 

  • Ability to lead multiple projects/priorities and drive each to completion

Grade/Level: 11

                                                                                      

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                                 

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
