Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Consumer Bank Business Transformation roles will report into the Consumer Bank Strategic Initiatives team and one of our aligned VP leaders.
This position will play a critical role in defining business needs, translating those needs into system requirements and clearly defining the scope for various transformation programs in support of our Consumer Bank Strategy. This role is responsible for leading business process analysis and assisting in implementation, including design, testing and training. The role will play a role in the creation of standards, policies, processes and procedures for the Consumer Bank unit, identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and areas for optimizing operating expenses. This role will also focus on successful planning, execution, and delivery of transformational projects while maintaining a focus on quality, budget and timelines.
A key focus will be the operational enablement of the strategic initiatives team and delivering on KPIs to measure impact.

Essential Responsibilities:

Become a subject matter expert in the assigned L3 processes. Understand the underlying business logic and process to help design solutions to new requirements and solve business problems.

Partner with stakeholders, product owners and senior leaders to drive key strategic initiatives by understanding needs and expectations.

Own and write detailed business requirements, functional specifications, user stories and appropriate deliverables in collaboration with business users and stakeholders for Agile development teams.

Establish KPIs for L3 processes and initiatives and create a monitoring plan to ensure business outcome meets desired expectation.

Lead ongoing reviews of business processes, develop optimization strategies, and present findings.

Manage the approval process for the requirements/stories.

Translate business user requirements into user stories for a technical team.

Work with vendor and in-house teams to build system functionality needed.

Provide innovative solutions to solve business problems in a fast-paced environment.

Ensure that issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner.

Develop and manage deployment plans with the solution delivery team.

Assist in delivery tracking and adherence to committed timelines.

Establish, build, and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments as needed.

Foster effective relationships with all functional areas of Consumer Banking business to best support changing business needs, including providing leadership, coaching, development to team members.

Lead regular communication and user group meetings with business partners and supporting functions including but not limited to Compliance, Legal, Credit, Reporting and Analysis.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years financial services experience, including…
-
Experience in Agile/Scrum requirements and project management using tools such as JIRA
-
Experience creating flowcharts, sequence diagrams and UI mockups

Experience working cross functionally and communicating effectively across all levels of the organization

Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

Advanced Microsoft Office (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
Desired Characteristics:

3+ years of experience in consumer banking products and/or digital banking

Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Proven leadership abilities, influencing skills, and the ability to lead/engage on cross-functional projects

Excellent time management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to research and troubleshoot efficiently and effectively

Grade/Level: 10
The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 – 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
